'Iyengar Yogashraya', Mumbai has completed its successful 2 years on 12th October 2004. The event was celebrated mainly through an audio-visual presentation on "Why is BKS Iyengar one of the 100 most influential persons of the world?" The event also had remarkable yoga demonstrations.
Guruji had inaugurated 'Iyengar Yogashraya' at Mumbai, on 12 October 2002. Guruji thanked some of his old pupils who created opportunities and helped him, "I pioneered yoga teaching to groups of students in school halls. Now, with this permanent centre in Mumbai, I am happy to see that the seed I sowed in the 1940 has grown into a gigantic tree having strong roots. May this centre become the holiest centre in the world". Guruji's blessings are always with his sincere and committed students.

* Special sessions for executives (for two weeks)
* Special classes for the Mumbai police (to have quick response)
